Sales Director

Our client is a UK manufacturer of high-quality branded consumer goods which, due to forthcoming expansion, wishes to appoint a Sales Director to lead growth in the UK and internationally (currently Europe and US focused). The company has been established for approaching 50 years and identifies four sales channels for its three main product lines – direct to consumer, corporate, major retail and independent retail.

 

As Sales Director, you will:

 

• report to the MD, responsible for implementation and development of all Sales and Marketing aspects of this vibrant, entrepreneurial organisation

·       ensure growth and development of turnover, profit, market share and brand, in the UK and internationally

• lead the Sales function, working closely with internal senior management

• take full P&L responsibility for all product categories including commercial and contractual activity

• develop the marketing mix, including introducing new products, markets and distribution channels

• manage an impressive client base, ensuring client expectations are delivered and internal KPI’s are met

• lead your sales and marketing teams to implement strategy efficiently and effectively

 

As Sales Director, you will be:

 

• commercially astute, working at a senior level and with a proven record of achievement in a similar multi-channel, sales-oriented leadership role – e.g. Sales Director, Sales Manager, Managing Director, Business Development or Commercial Director. (Experience in branded consumer goods potentially advantageous)

• a first-class communicator, ambitious to lead the Sales of a highly respected business to a wide customer base

• adept in client negotiation


Salary & benefits:

·       £100 - 125k pa

·       Earning potential with bonus to £200k

·       Potential equity share
