Head of Product
Our client is a highly successful technology business based in the Newcastle area, a healthy, growing business looking for an exceptional Head of Product to help design, drive and deliver their product vision, strategy and roadmap.

As part of this small, highly progressive company, you will focus on the strategic aspects of product development, working closely with the CEO and Head of Mobile App Development.
Your responsibilities as Head of Product will include:
- Collaborating with other departments to create a product vision and strategy, and presenting it to the management team
- Driving innovation, ensuring products meet company standards and the needs of the target market
- Ensuring the team runs smoothly, and that team members have the skills and knowledge to do their jobs
- Being involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle, from concept to end of life, including related projects and enhancements
- Conducting market research, gathering customer insights, analysing user feedback to update the strategy
- Defining product requirements, features, and priorities, and communicating them to development teams
- Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance
- Using analytics to make decisions about product improvements
- Building effective connections with team members and stakeholders
- Handling escalations and resolving related challenges
- Recruitment and resourcing to all reporting roles
Required Head of Product skills and experience:
- Proven, successful commercial delivery experience gained operating in a similar role – Head of Product, Product Manager or Product Lead in a mobile focussed software development environment
- Relevant qualifications and certifications
- Excellent understanding of mobile app development and User Experience (UX) best practices
- Strong market research skills
- High level communication skills, analytical and able to write robust technical specs and requirements
- Strong leadership, managerial and supervisory experience with first class interpersonal skills and ability to foster positive relationships
- Innovative mind-set, striving for excellence, keeping current with customers, markets and new technology
- Experience creating and building first rate product teams
- A collaborative, adaptable personality, passionate, self-motivated and interested in SME, scale-up and growth/rapid change
On Offer is:
- An excellent salary of up to £80,000 - £100,000 + pension + benefits
