Business Development Manager

 

A £220m global leader in the design and manufacture of sealing solutions, used in a wide variety of process industries including petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and power generation, is looking to strengthen its UK Sales team, further adding to the success of an initiative that has delivered 60% growth over the last five years.

 

We’re looking to recruit an individual to the role of Business Development Manager (North East and Scotland) and are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for driving growth by identifying opportunities in existing and untapped markets and visiting end-user process plants and OEMs to create product pull.

The role involves fostering client relationships, strategizing market presence, sustaining competitiveness and maximising revenue in diverse sectors.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Working with clients to incorporate the company’s proprietary material into piping specifications and equipment designs
  • Leading the sales process, negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve revenue targets and maximise profitability
  • Conducting market research to identify opportunities and trends
  • Developing and implementing plans to enter new markets and increase market share
  • Generating leads through networking, prospecting and relationship-building
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams

 

As Business Development Manager you’ll need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (preferable)
