Finance Manager

 

Our client is a ten year old tech business employing over 50 people across the UK and Europe. It provides automation solutions for customers that give them the ability to connect to other websites without APIs. The business serves some of the biggest names in tech and enjoys excellent strategic relations that have enabled it to raise £10m. It is looking to recruit to a newly created stand-alone Finance Manager role.

Reporting directly to the CFO and assisting with the company's reporting and budgeting, you will join an existing, fully remote, and very friendly team of two, with monthly duties including:


  • Reconciling ERP and helping produce month end management accounts and year end accounts
  • Assisting in making board packs, shareholder updates and financial presentations
  • Updating all financial reporting systems and KPI sheets
  • Updating monthly budgets and work with heads of departments on Actual vs Budget
  • Assisting with supplier contract negotiations
  • Maintaining and improving financial systems
  • Oversee internal cash management including chasing overdue customer invoices
  • Management of internal financial controls
  • Working alongside the in-house bookkeeper on financial reconciliation
  • Creating manual ledger entries and applying basic accounting knowledge
  • Reviewing and approval of expenses


As Finance Manager you will need:


  • Strong experience gained in a similar Finance Manager or Management Accountant type role, preferably gained in a fast-moving, service-driven, tech or software development environment
  • CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW qualification preferred
  • Excellent Xero, Excel/Google Sheets skills, ideally including creating and maintaining models and forecasts in Excel/Google Sheets – BigQuery skills advantageous
  • Experience in Data Analytics
  • A good knowledge of taxes, PAYE, financial accounts and reporting requirements
  • A positive, fun approach to work - very approachable and a good communicator
  • Comfortable working 100% remote with a great bunch of people (there are often opportunities to meet and work together)
  • Incredibly willing to learn new things and throw yourself in the deep end (no task is too great or too small)
  • Someone who is comfortable communicating online (video calls and Slack)
