High Fives All Round - The North East Accountancy Awards Celebrates for a Fifth Year

The Newcastle Marriott Hotel in Gosforth Park played host to 2011’s fifth ‘Nigel Wright North East Accountancy Awards’. Our region’s finest were cast in the spotlight as the high-spirited evening commenced.
Over 300 people from the North East business community sat down to a black-tie dinner. Mark Simpson, group executive director at Newcastle-based recruitment consultancy Nigel Wright said he was reassured by the strength of the region’s accounting and professional service sector despite the economic challenges, with talent and motivation overcoming adversity. He went on to say, “Everyone enjoyed the evening, particularly those who took home an award. Well done to them all. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and we look forward to starting to plan for next year.”
The awards ceremony allowed industry professionals a chance to gather and reaffirm their passion and dedication. An evening where achievement is praised creates a positive effect as individuals and teams are inspired to reach new goals.
